Kutirodyog Mandir is as much about nostalgia as it is about looking forward to something new and innovative in the form of new dishes, experimentation with new flavours, etc.
Kutirodyog Mandir is also a case study of how an entrepreneurial zeal can overcome many obstacles. As a school boy of 8 years, Late Shri.Mahadeo Vishnu Joshi (our founder) in his hometown village of Medha, near Roha of Raigad district would sell pencils at the annual village fair.Having tasted success, the seeds of entrepreneurship germinated later in his life by establishing Kutirodyog Mandir in the year 1953. Over the years, the quest has been to strike a balance of staying original to the traditional recipes on one hand and also to reinvent with the changing times.
We at Kutirodyog Mandir specialize in pedhas like Kesari, Kandi, Velchi , Jaiphal, etc along with Shrikhand and Ghee. Those who prefer to make Shrikhand and Ghee at home, vouch for our Chakka and Loni. You would also come across many maharashtrian dishes like kothimbir vadi, missal pav, thalipeeth, etc in our restaurant. We have observed few of our guests relishing our piyush, lassi and buttermilk and flaunting their milk moustache!
